Happy Christmas

well once again I am late with my Christmas greetings. Hope you had a great Christmas, and wishing you all the best for 2010. Well the last few days of what has been an eventful year, this time last year I was in Telford and now I am sat in Bedfordshire. Still finding not a lot of time to craft, but we hope to rectify the situation next year (hmmm me thinks i uttered those same words this time last year !) I have attached a card I made for my mum's birthday, I did manage to make some Christmas cards this year, but didn't photograph them.

The stamp is from www.funkykits.co.uk and coloured with my prismacolour pencils, papers are basic grey and the twinkles are from www.thehobbyhouse.co.uk and were a fantastic buy :)

thnaks for stopping by

hugs and New year wishes to you

bits and bobs

Not been up to much lately crafty wise, apart form buying something to put all my craft bits in tidily , (thank you IKEA) but did make this necklace. I bought the Turquoise nuggets locally and the tubes from a bead shop online, hope I remember where as I want some more.

The weather was so lovely today we walked to the shop. The walk took us over an hour as we got distracted by the leaf piles ... do you remember kicking your way through them when you were a kid walking to school... bet you still do now :) I know i do but i do have a nearly 2 year old walking by my side :). Yes my baby is 2 years old next Saturday !!!!! Where has the time gone ?? Any way a few pics from our walk this morning.I won't tell you about the piles of conkers that are everywhere.. including callum's bedroom !!!

Hi , have finally made a card after 4 months, I bought some pro markers early this year and am finally ( i hope) getting the hang of this shading jobby. I bought this rubber stamp a few months ago but when i heard the saying attached to the card and thought the 2 went perfectly together.

Back in blogland

HMMMPPH second time lucky. I closed the screen down before I published my post !! DHHHRRR

Well am back here after the move, which went brilliantly. Just finding my feet. The boys did 3 weeks at school before they broke up for summer. They have the novelty of catching the school bus here instead of walking or riding bikes. I have unpacked all my craft stuff and to be honest going from a room to a cupboard is a bit of a pain so am keeping my eyes open for some suitable storage.

I haven't done any card making yet but have been playing with my beads. I have put up a couple of pics of some stuff I made this week. Have done some before we moved bu can't find where it is stashed at the moment , when I do I will post them too.
.

anyway that's all for now,

hugs and many thanks for stopping by

feeling a bit blue this morning as I just waved my friend off as she goes of to their new posting in Cyprus.

I love the moving around and living in different places - not been lucky enough to live any where exotic though i do keep dropping hints to Ian to no avail yet - But i really hate all the goodbyes, you think it would get easier over time but it doesn't, especially when it comes to saying goodbye to good friends.

Anyway 3 weeks and 3 days to go and we shall be on the move ourselves. It's going to be a long day as this is the first time we have done a one day move, it's the shortest distance we have moved unless you count the move round the corner in Northumberland when we moved from a 2 bed to a 3 bed house...

We have packed everything we can pack for now, just the essentials and clothes left to do, which we can't pack until the last few days.

It's half term this week, and Nathan goes back to school on the 1st June as he has his maths GCSE paper to do, Callum is on a PD day, so we are going down to Bedford to have a look at the house and drop Marcus's travel cot etc off at mums as she is having Marcus for a few days whilst we move. Its great mum will only be 20 miles down the road, and it will be great to meet up with old school friends who I am back in contact with...how great is friends reunited. Ian has recently got in touch with some old school friends too via this.

anyway enough ramblings

BOXES!!!

Well hello there and good whatever time of day it is where you are.
Have started packing up the house , we sill have 7 weeks to go but it flys by , We had 16 weeks before we moved when we found out and it has flown past. I am now starting to feel like I am living in cardboard box city!! I packed my craft stuff up over the Easter weekend, Marcus and Callum went to grandma's and my mum came down to give me a hand. It took 8 hours to get it sorted and packed!!
I can not believe how much i have amassed over the past 5 years.
When we moved here in June 2004 I had a little crisp box and a carrier bag which was my sum total of craft bits... Now I have a room full of boxes!!!

Have googled our new address and looked on google maps, and WOW what a HUGE garden we have got. Good excuse for Ian to get the new lawn mower he has been eyeing up since last year, and again we have got a detached house, which if you are a parent of boys (especially teenagers and nearly teens) you will understand why I received this news with great Joy. They do not know how to walk quietly down the stairs. I swear they turn into baby elephants as soon as they put their foot on the stairs.

No pics to Post I'm afraid, all card stuff is packed away but have made a few jewellery bits which i will post when i have finished them off.

Water Babes

Thought I would show you a picture of the boys. The other weekend we went to sherwood centre parcs for the day , with grandma and aunty Ann and Uncle David. Great time was had by all. Didn't see much of Nathan and callum as they were off riding the flumes etc, Marcus spent 5 hours in the pool only coming out for about 15 mins to have something to eat. Everybody slept well that night.

I got one

HI
I finally took the plunge and got my craft robo. It arrived last Wednesday and apart from doing a test cut on Wednesday night I haven't had chance to play with it. When i took saffi to the vets on Thursday i had to lift her into the car and managed to hurt my back and rip a tendon in my ankle! So I haven't been able to sit at a chair long enough to have a play, but today my back is feeling fine although my ankle is still very sore.Ian is back home tomorrow so I can rest my foot and hopefully soon will be able to post a robo card...
I am so glad I didn't buy tickets for the craft fair in advance for this weekend as i wouldn't have been able to go :( So instead I am going to have a crafty weekend with my mum as she is coming up for the weekend as it is my birthday on Sunday and I can't Waite as she has bought me the Whiff of Joy spring set :)
take care and thanks for stopping by

A great Loss

Say Cheese

(marcus, nathan and saffi)

(my brother with Marcus and Saffi)
Well this past week has been the most horrid I can remember in a long time. Last Thursday I had to send our beautiful girl to the Rainbow Bridge. It was the last thing I could do for her as she had a stroke in the morning, and could hardly walk and was in a lot of pain. Everything happened so fast and the boys never got to say goodbye to her, and neither did Ian as he was teaching down in cornwall. I think we all went in to a state of shock for 24 hrs. It is still really hard to walk into the house and not see her there wagging her tail when you come in. The amount of scraps i have gone to chuck in her bowl and have ended on the floor because her bowls aren't there anymore is amazing. The silly little things that you do without thinking.

She is at peace and out of pain now, although it was the best and kindest thing we could do for her it still hurts.

RIP Saffie you were greatly loved and sadly missed

Snow fun

Had more snow today and all the schools are shut much to Nathan's and Callum's delight.
Went down to Asda this morning to get Marcus his first pair of wellies and the only ones they had in his size were Pepper Pig. Poor child I hope he won't hold it against me for ever. Mind you when he goes out to play with sky, Kay and Charlie(female also) he will fit in well as they all have pepper pig wellies too. So they can call them selves the pepper pig wellie gang...lol ! Oh dear I think I had better stop here....
Thanks for stopping by and stay safe no matter where you are

Last and first

First may I start of by wishing you a VERY belated Merry Christmas (hope you had a good one) and wishing you a Happy New year and hope that 2009 brings you a quiet , peaceful and contended one. This is just a quick post to say yes we are still alive and still posting on here...lol Just..... and thought i would show you my last card of 2008 and first of 2009

This was made for my friend Amanda's birthday in December. I coloured the sweet and sassy image from http://www.funkykits.com/ with my prismas, and papers are by papermania.

This is the first one for 2009 and was made for Callums friend. The stamped image was coloured with the letraset pro markers (shh don't have to much of a shock as it isn't my pencils) Image again is from the sugar Nellie's range at funky kits. Paper was a freebie of the net and yes they are chocolate coins at the bottom. I raided them from Marcus's Christmas chocolate stash, they were made by Thornton's...

thanks for stopping by hope to see you again soon
